*5 out of 5 Butterflies. I wasn't so sure how well I would like this story. Patricia Rasey is a new author to me but her voice and style of telling a tale drew me right in. The story centers around a serial killer who is an ex marine, now how is that for a villian? Definitely had me going.
I will definitely look forward to reading more of Patricia Rasey's work.

Love You to Pieces is a story of action, suspense and romance that is intricately blended with the reconnection of life and finding one's uncertainties to moving beyond pain and heartbreak.
Jaycen McCain is haunted by the death of his wife and feels like a failure. He buries himself in work, finding a murderer whose crimes are too similar to that of his wife's, and will stop at nothing to find out the truth. What he doesn't need is the added distraction of Sara St. James. Her beauty and kind-heartedness tempts him more than she should-especially since she's also his deceased wife's cousin.
Patricia A. Rasey compels her reader once again with another romantic suspense. Love You to Pieces is a page-turning, intrigue-driven story that is impossible to put down. The hero broke this reader's heart, while also charming her. Jaycen is a memorable character who lives within my mind and heart still. This author never lets me down with splendid stories and characters that are truly endearing. I couldn't help but be absorbed into the intrigue, passion, danger and great writing in Love You to Pieces. A gripping, one-sitting read! A story and author not to be missed!

Catching a Christmas Break is thoroughly entertaining and a tale of the miracle of the holidays at work for one Jerry VanWiggle. On the run from the mob, Jerry finds himself up to his ears in chaos as he runs headlong into the police, and soon finds himself arrested and sitting behind bars. Of course, as a blessing in disguise, it might just be the best thing for Jerry to hide-from the mob, and his wife!
Patricia A. Rasey writes a tale of second chances, learning one's lesson and finding a miracle when you least expect it. Written so intriguingly, Ms. Rasey keeps the reader hooked, to learn what becomes of Jerry and just to learn more about him. I felt myself connecting with his vulnerability the most, and rooting for him. He's an interesting character, along with a vast array of characters, that keep the entertainment going and the warm feelings moving along til the very end.
And in telling Rasey-style, the ending does leave one wondering if we'll see Jerry again...LOVE it!

If possible, The Hour Before Dawn is even better than Deadly Obsession. Patricia Rasey has done a fantastic job in continuing Deadly Obsession in this story. The Hour Before Dawn would do well as a stand-alone novel as well. Again, we have a flawed hero, dealing with his failed marriage. Add to this, one really wounded heroine in Krystal, trying to deal with the abuse of her father, and we have one fantastic story, in addition to the solving of the murders and delving into the Vampyre Society of today. If you like romantic suspense, don’t miss this one!

Just the creative voyeuristic thrill of briefly living in this world, by way of the path blazed by author Patricia Rasey, is enough to make THE HOUR BEFORE DAWN a must read. Daring and bold, Rasey presents the shadowy world of vampyres with a unique darkness that proves mesmerizing. The style is fiercely unrelenting, marking Rasey indelibly as a harsh truth teller. Although her genre is fiction, her characters are real and frightening, and not even main characters are safe from the evil that haunts Rasey's work. Further, Rasey's exploration of self-mutilation is both knowledgeable and tasteful, lending a shocking vulnerability to a striking character. Indeed, THE HOUR BEFORE DAWN is gripping, gritty, and fascinating, coming very highly recommended.

Deadly Obsession is romantic suspense at its best. We have a hero tortured by his past, which he does everything possible to forget, a heroine strong and capable and willing to do whatever it takes to win her hero's heart. Damien is chillingly portrayed as a Vampire. It's perfectly obvious that Ms. Rasey did her homework and thoroughly researched this story before ever setting pen to paper. This story will grab your attention from the very first page and not let go until it's haunting conclusion. Ms. Rasey pens a suspenseful tale of murder, passion and danger in DEADLY OBSESSION. A strong, sexy hero, Cole is every women's dream come true. Deadly Obsession is a taut, gripping, fast-paced story of murder and madness. The tension mounts page after page, until the chilling and terrifying conclusion. The plot flows seamlessly and leaves the reader guessing as to who, and what the killer is until the very end. The characters are well defined and realistic, from the bitter, angry homicide detective to the chilling portrayal of a soul lost to madness. The dialogue is crisp, and direct, moving the story forward smoothly. While this is a suspense novel, there is also the underlying romance between Laurie and Cole, which is done so well, it blends into the main story flawlessly. Deadly Obsession is an

This is one book I'm glad I didn't miss.
This was a
book that kept me pretty riveted throughout the pages. It
seemed so obvious who the killer actually was but Ms. Rasey
managed at the very last minute to turn the tide and make you
realize who the real killer was. That's not always an easy
feat and, since I'm not sure how many books Ms. Rasey has
behind her, I thought that she turned that corner rather well,
all things considered. Yes, I guessed, at the very last
moment, who the real killer was but it was truly at the very

KISS OF DECEIT is a tremendous police procedural with
enough romance that will entice romantic suspense readers too.
The story line moves faster than Snake's Harley can go, but
insures that he and LeAnne come across as real people. On the
surface the lead protagonists seem opposite one another as he
lives for the day in his grassroots lifestyle while she looks
to the future yet both have deep senses of loyalty and duty.
There are plenty of suspects with motives provided for each

I absolutely love the way Ms. Rasey can have two completely
different story lines going on at the same time, in one book.
She interweaves them so well, that you don't realize that
there are two. You can follow both story's with no confusion,
and never skip a beat. She is absolutely amazing with this
technique. And she has done it again with FEAR THE DARK. The
only beat you will miss is the skipping of your heartbeat when
you "feel" the snakes slither across the floor, ready to

Gripping and intense, FEAR THE DARK is a perfect example of
Ms. Rasey's gift for writing suspense. Each page winds the
tension tighter and tighter - in both the investigation and in
the chemistry between Jack and Cara - until the reader is held
on a knife edge. As with her previous novels, the reader is
never sure who will survive at the end of the story, or who
the villain really is. This shorter novella length story in no
way loses any of the detailed characterization or plot
development of her longer books, and if it wasn't so
graphically frightening, would make the perfect late night
read before bed. But in this case, don't read it after dark,
